Add author (and celebrity?) to the list of David Howitt‘s accomplishments.
The Portland businessman, entrepreneur and consultant on Tuesday released his first book and landed a
high-profile five-minute spot on “Good Morning America” to discuss the work.
Howitt is CEO of the Meriwether Group, the business consultant behind deals for several high-profile Oregon companies, including the Bike Gallery and Stumptown Coffee. Howitt is known for finding the ideal buyer for strong brands, not just getting the best price.
The book, “Heed Your Call,” expands on his philosophy of finding a work and life balance and is about “integrating myth, science, spirituality and business.”
Howitt summed it up thusly on the show: “You can have bacon and go for a run later in the day.”
The show’s hosts were seemingly impressed with Howitt and remarked he’s the next Dr. Phil.
Fittingly, the show gave Howitt bacon as a parting gift. No word whether he plans a run later today.
The book is available on Amazon for $18.99.
